Happy Halloween!

It's Jett's 1st Halloween! He is so cute in his lobster costume! This is the one picture I could get before he threw his pumpkin. He must think it's a basketball. I see the similarities. We didn't go trick-or-treating, but we did wear our costume while we answered the door. This is our first time to live in a neighborhood and actually have trick-or-treaters. We were pretty excited!

Daddy did a really good job carving his 1st pumpkin! We are so proud of him!

Jett and Adli having fun at the Fall Festival.

Avery was stealing the show!

Jett had a great time at the Fall Festival!

Pumpkin Patch

Jett and I went to the pumpkin patch in Moss Bluff with our MOPS group. He and all of the other children loved the pumpkins! He was very good during story time too. He sat perfectly still and took in his surroundings. We had a great time! We also found the perfect pumpkin for Daddy to carve!
My little punkin!

Jett found the stem.

The straw was interesting too.

Funny basketballs!

Jett's 1st Trip to the Zoo

Jett's 1st zoo trip was to the Houston Zoo. We went to visit G, Opa, Uncle Indy, and Aunt Winnie the first weekend in October, and we went to the zoo on Monday. It was a really nice day for the zoo, a little cloudy and not too terribly humid. Jett didn't care too much for the animals. He did love to laugh at Aunt Winnie and Uncle Indy!

Jett was loving on Aunt Winnie!

We all really liked the baby elephant.

The lions were definitely relaxing!

Jett liked the goats at the petting zoo.

Daddy took our picture in front of the giraffes (Momma's favorite).

8 Months Old Today

Jett is 8 months old today! He is getting so big! He weighs 20 lbs and 8 oz and is 28 in long. I can hardly believe it. He has so much personality these days! He loves to talk. His favorite word is bye bye, and he waves. He also loves saying Da Da and Opa. And when he's upset, he pitifully cries for Momma. He's a mess! Jett has learned to pull up and also to pat-a-cake. He hasn't quite learned to crawl, but he scoots on his bottom, rolls, and kinda slithers to wherever he needs to go. He loves playing peek-a-boo with Momma and Daddy. And, lately he's been really sad when Daddy goes to work, and he's always super excited when Daddy comes home! Jett loves his Daddy! Jett loves his bath, the floor lamp in his room (it's a touch lamp, and he's learned how to turn it on and off), swimming, commercials, riding on the Bobcat with Daddy, standing up, Sunday School, the computer, and playing in his room! It's been a very interesting and fun 8 months!

Trying to crawl.

Jett has learned to pull up!

He's always happy in the morning!

Jett loves his basketball!

It's Football Time!

It's football season once again. Jett and I went to visit Daddy at Cowboy Media Day. Jett's nap ran long, so we missed all but about 5 minutes. Jett didn't care because he got to hang out with Daddy on the field all by himself! He likes the bright colors of the turf. We'll see how Jett likes the cowbells! We're ready for September 5th. Go Cowboys!

Jett found the end zone!

Looks like a natural.

Go long Daddy!

We helped Daddy clean up after Media Day was over. Jett loved driving the Bobcat! He loves being outside, and the wind from driving around made the heat of the day tolerable. He cried when he had to get in his car seat to go home. It was so sad!!

Our Big Boy

Jett is getting so big! He's a little over 7 months old now, and I can't believe how much he's grown. We don't go to the doctor again until he's 10 months old, so I'm going to have to go to Pink and Blue to weigh him. He's 28 inches long, and I know he's getting heavier. He is sitting up very well now. Still no crawling, but I think the good Lord is watching out for us because our house is still not suitable for him to crawl in. But, soon it will be. Jett can now say Da Da, Momma, Opa, and Bye Bye. He never performs on command.

We had Life Group at Josh and Angel's on Sunday. They have the best toys! Jett loved this little car. He could push himself backwards. I think we may have to get one of these!

Jett loves his friends! Since Jett can't get around yet, Braylee was sweet and sat by him for a bit. Avery and Nora Belle are hanging out in the background.

Earlier, Avery was sitting beside Jett and holding his hand. It was so cute! I tried to get the picture, but she was too fast. Jett's always getting left by the girls!

I had to include this picture. Jett was so tired that he fell asleep before he finished eating. My sweet boy!

It's Been Awhile

It's been awhile since I've blogged. If you didn't already know, we have recently purchased our 1st home. We have been so busy adding our personal touches to the house, that we haven't had much time for anything else. Hopefully we'll be done soon!
This picture was taken at Adli's 1st birthday party, which was a pool party. Jett had so much fun! He must have sat under that palm tree in the water for nearly an hour and a half. He loves the water!
Jett is so happy in the mornings when he wakes up! He loves to get tangled up in the sheets.

Jett's getting really good at sitting up by himself. He finds chewing on Tom's tail very amusing!

Jett is getting closer and closer to crawling. He now can push himself backwards and also turn around in circles.

Jett loves his new highchair! Thank you Polly and Pop. Jett will eat pretty much anything you give him. He loves all of the stage 2 baby foods and sweet potato puffs! Maybe he'll get some teeth soon.

6 Months Old

Today Jett is 6 months old! He is so big! We went to the doctor today for his check-up and shots. They no longer weigh him lying down. He sat up like a big boy today. I was a little sad. Jett now weighs 16 lbs and 15 oz, and he is 27 1/2 inches long. He is in the 75th percentile for length. He is growing so much! I took this picture while Jett was playing in his bouncy station. He really loves standing up!
,Jett recently said his first words! On July 1st, Jett said Da Da. Ryan was so excited. And on July 8th, he said Momma. I was super excited! We do work on that one a lot. These days, Jett is also sitting up by himself for short periods of time. He loves the remote control!

Doesn't he look relaxed? He loves hanging out watching tv!

Jett is also very interested in being on his tummy. He's figured out that he can scoot a little bit. Before too long, he will definitely be crawling!

Astros Game

Last weekend we went to Houston for the McNeese Cowboy Round-Up Tour. After hearing the coaches speak, we went to the Astros game. G, Opa, Aunt Winnie, and Uncle Indy met us there. Jett was very relaxed sitting with Opa during the game. He actually fell asleep after I took this picture. Jett had a wonderful time at his first professional baseball game! He also experienced his first fireworks after the game. They were a bit loud, but watching the roof open at Minute Maid Park was awesome!

Peyton and I have enjoyed having Terra in Houston this past month! It's so rare that the three of us are all together now. We'll have to get her to move closer. Jett sure does love his Aunt Winnie!

Thank you Aunt Winnie for coming to Lake Charles! We are so glad that you came and stayed with Jett. We enjoyed having you around, and Jett misses you so much! We love you.

5 Months Old

Jett is 5 months old today! He is growing up so fast. I've posted pictures of a few of his favorite things to do. Jett loves to read stories with his Daddy! He always holds on to the left side of the book.
Jett recently became very interested in his hands and feet. Sometimes he just lays there playing with his hands! He is very strong, and can almost scoot. He is also talking a ton. He makes a variety of sounds these days. And, he has found his tongue. He knows that his tongue makes very cool sounds! Hopefully we'll get a word pretty soon.

Jett loves to be naked! He is very hot natured, and he loves the way Lamby feels against his skin. Lamby is soft and furry on top and silky on the bottom. Jett loves both sides! Thank you Aunt Winnie.

Another naked picture... Jett loves his jungle play mat. He likes to grab the butterflies, and he can spin the wheel on the cat to play music. Why there is a zebra striped cat in the jungle, I don't know.

Jett is finally big enough to ride in his stroller without the car seat. He loves facing forward! He can finally see everything. Going to Lowe's was like being at Disney World. He loved looking at all of the lights!

Jett's 1st Trip to Kentucky

Jett made his first trip to Kentucky over the Memorial Day weekend. He was very excited to see his Pop, Polly, and Uncle Adam again. He loved sitting out on the deck with Pop!
Jett was finally good for Pappy! It helps when he's not exhausted from traveling. If he's hungry or tired you can forget about a good mood! But, I think we all get that way sometimes!

Mimi and Pappy surprised Jett with a cute little outfit and a jack-in-the-box! We were a little worried that the jack-in-the-box might scare him, but he loved it!
At Polly's get-together, Jett got to meet Great Aunt Jackie, Great Aunt Jenny, Great Uncle Joe, and cousins Jessica and Kailey, and of course his great grandparents, Mimi and Pappy. Everyone just thought he was great!

Pop got a kick out of Jett sitting on the couch watching basketball! Jett was very tired and relaxed after his long exciting day.

I was very glad that Polly invited my grandparents to the party. Mawmaw and Pawpaw were not able to come, but we were so glad to get to spend time with Grandmother and Grandaddy. It's so nice that our families are only about 2 hours apart. It makes it much easier with us living so far away, and not visiting often.
We are so excited for all of the visitors we'll be getting this summer!
