Happy Halloween!

Halloween was great this year! We all had a wonderful time! I lost my first battle of the costumes. I wanted us to be The Incredibles because I had the perfect "Dash" and "Jack Jack." Jett was having no part of it! He was gonna be Lightning McQueen. Not that I was surprised. He was awfully cute! We went to the pumpkin patch to pick out our perfect pumpkin, and Jett had a blast helping Daddy carve it. This was Daddy's third year to carve a pumpkin, and the first time that Momma didn't draw the face. He did a great job! We visited Daddy's office, a few friends' houses, and the Mall-o-ween for candy. Jett did great! He said trick or treat so well! Now we have chocolate to last many weeks!

Lightning McQueen is ready to go!

So strong!

Football Time!

Football season is here! Not that it's a super joyous time for my family, but the season rolls around every year. We don't get to see a lot of Daddy this time of year, so it does make us sad. I do like to get pictures at this time every year. They are great for my calendar! This year's McNeese football pictures turned out great!

Fun at the Splash Pad

Our family took advantage of one of the last Saturdays of summer with Daddy. We decided to go play at the splash pad. Jett had a blast! He & Daddy shot each other with the water cannons. Momma & Ace had to stay out of the way! It was a lot of fun. So, glad we got to have fun with Daddy! We miss him bunches when September rolls around.

So much fun!

Back to the water cannon!

So wet!

Ace had fun too!

Fishing at G & Opa's House

Opa loves to fly fish. However, Jett is not quite ready for that. So, Opa got Jett his own fishing pole, and they decided to fish at the lake by their house. Jett loved fishing! He was certain that they were fishing for rainbow trout. All fish are either rainbow trout or goldfish in Jett's eyes. He really liked the bobber and reeling his line in. We were way too noisy to catch anything! But, Jett was content with catching his popcorn. We baited the hook with corn. Jett didn't realize that it was always the same corn. He had a blast!

Jett was doing a great job!

Tennessee

Jett had a wonderful time with our family in Tennessee! He really enjoyed playing in Mawmaw's pool with Aunt Cindy, Claire, Avery, Brianna, & Addison. Jett & Addison played basketball, and Brianna showed Jett some cool soccer moves. Jett also had fun with Granddaddy & Uncle Myles. They looked at Uncle Myles' motorcycle & several tractors. Madison got sick while we were there, but was feeling better our last day. Jett had so much fun with Madison during our car ride to Nashville! He's been talking about everyone since we've been back home.

Jett really liked winding up the turtle & watching it swim!

Fun in the Creek

We have had a busy week & a half! We started our trip with a stop in Kentucky to see Pop & Polly, then we made a day trip to Illinois to see Uncle Adam & Aunt Caitlin, Daddy dropped us off in Clifton, TN to visit with Mommy's family, and we finished our trip with a plane ride to Houston & a weekend with G, Opa, & Uncle Indy. Whew! That was a lot! We had a blast, though.

In this post, I've included pictures of Jett from our trip to Grandmother & Granddaddy's creek. He loved the creek as much as I remember loving it! The water was up from all the rain they've had, so we weren't able to enjoy the area known as the "bathtub." Aunt Winnie & Momma took turns carrying Jett through the shin deep water to the flat dry rocks near the bathtub. Jett sure is heavy! The water was cold, but we all enjoyed it very much!

Summer Visitors

We have really enjoyed our visitors this summer! We were so excited when Aunt Cindy, Uncle Byron, & cousins: Claire & Avery came for the weekend. Jett loved them all so much! He especially liked Aunt Cindy, who looks a whole lot like G. He wasn't quite sure that she wasn't G! Aunt Cindy enjoyed the attention Jett was giving her anyway. He loved on her all weekend. Jett learned quickly that Uncle Byron & Avery are super fun, especially playing outside! Claire loved on baby Ace pretty much the whole weekend! He definitely enjoyed all of the attention.
Uncle Byron was set on getting Jett a "Cars" toy. Jett didn't mind the trip to Toys R Us at all! We are so appreciative of Jett's Lightning McQueen learning toy & Cars 2 flashlight. He loves them! We're on our 3rd round of batteries! Also, Momma had to hide Ace's new car toy, so that Jett didn't destroy it. But, I'm sure he's gonna love it! He'll be ready for it very soon.

We also had a visit from Pop & Polly this summer. Jett went to Kentucky & spent the week with them. He had a blast! They brought him back to us on Friday night & stayed the weekend. They wanted to spend a little time with baby Ace. He had grown a ton since they saw him last, the week he was born. We are so glad Pop & Polly came to visit & we love the swimming pool they got us!

Vacation!!!

Jett was so excited to go to Orange Beach. He was thrilled to spend so much time with his Daddy! Jett loved the big water (ocean), the big boats, the speed boats, all of the bridges, the zoo, and the spray area at our condo. He hated the beach! He did not want to walk in the sand or get in the ocean. After watching Momma build a sandcastle, Daddy was able to carry Jett over to where the sand was packed down. Jett then played for about 10 minutes with his shovel & trucks. He was done after he touched his face and got sand all over it! Our trip to the beach was very short. Maybe he'll like the beach next year!

Ready to swim!

Jett loved the spraying water.

Easter Egg Hunt

I am so behind on my posts! Here are the pictures from our church Easter egg hunt. This is the first year that Jett actually ended up with eggs in his basket! He still doesn't really care about collecting the eggs. He shared his eggs with his friends like a sweet boy! Also, I was unable to get an Easter picture this year. Jett did not want to hold the rabbit this year, or even be near it. He didn't want to sit down and take a picture with his brother either! Oh well, maybe next year.

Jett was picking his eggs carefully!

It's more fun to toss the eggs into your basket!
