Disney's Allstar Movies Resort

This is the first of several Disney World posts.  We went to Disney World for our family vacation this year.  We left on May 1st and came back on May 6th.  We had a wonderful time and are going back next year!  We like to stay at Disney, mostly for the convenient transportation.  This year, we chose a value resort especially for the boys.  I must say that it was a great choice with the multiple pools, food court, themed rooms, & movies on the big screen at night.  We were in the Herbie the Love Bug section of the resort.  The boys really liked the car/racing theme.  Our pool was Fantasia themed with Mickey in his sorcerer's hat making the water squirt up in all directions.  The boys really enjoyed the Toy Story section of the resort.  We visited Andy's Room nearly every evening before bed.
Next year, we will probably stay at The Polynesian Resort.  Jett's favorite ride this year was the monorail or "people mover" as he called it.  So, it would've been nice if our resort had been connected to the monorail this year!  The Polynesian does offer this option, plus our character breakfast at Ohana:)

Our little night owl!  Ace had already gone to bed, but Daddy & Jett still had to visit RC in Andy's Room.

The Houston Zoo

Jett had a few doctor's appointments in downtown Houston in April & May.  We took advantage of these trips & visited the zoo, just around the corner.  The Houston Zoo is pretty great!  It was hotter than we had hoped, but still a lot of fun!  Jett really liked the grizzly bears, elephants, & giraffes.  The chimpanzees really liked both boys.  I'm just not sure that the boys thought the glass was enough separation!

 Jett found a grizzly bear.

He's so excited that the bear popped out of the water!

 The grizzly bear.

Daddy & the boys were checking out the tigers.

The chimpanzee sure did like Jett & Ace!

A giraffe came over to say hello.

Egg Hunt at the Cowboy's Baseball Game

Jett's third egg hunt was after the McNeese State baseball game.  He ended up with a ton of eggs!  I believe there were three kids other than he & Ace who stayed after the game.  There were so many to collect that he was forced to get several that were not blue!  He was not pleased, but eventually got over it when he realized there was chocolate in some of these eggs.  Anything for chocolate!

 My pail is getting heavy!

 What a nice yellow egg!

So many more to get before the chocolate melts in the hot sun!

Three cute boys!  Baby Duke all snuggled up with Jett & Ace just hanging out.  It was great to see Josh, Angela, & baby Duke for Easter!  We miss them bunches!

Jett's Egg Hunt at School

This is Jett's first year of school, aka mother's day out.  So this year, Jett had an additional egg hunt.  Pop was visiting with us the week before Easter, so he stayed with Ace at home, so that Momma & Jett could go to the egg hunt together.  We had a great time!  We brought 5 eggs, so we were supposed to go home with 5 eggs.  Jett only wanted to get the blue eggs!  He had all shades of blue.  We ended up with 1 pink egg, in order to get 5.  Jett was not pleased:)  After the egg hunt was over, I watched Jett play on the playground, and then we went home.  It was so nice to be able to experience this with Jett!

Waiting with his friends while the teacher hides the eggs.  So grown up, my little thinker!

Skip the yellow, not the pink, definitely the blue one!

 Oh look, a blue one!

 No smiles!

 Really Mom??
