Kindergarten!

Jett started Kindergarten on Monday this week. He was definitely ready! He really likes his teacher, Ms. Baxter. We walked him to class the first day, and I think he was a little sad missing his friends in other classes. He hopped out of the car like a pro the second day. In his words, "Momma, I just followed the other friends to the cafetorium,  and Ms. Baxter brought us to the classroom." He is so big and confident! He really likes lunch and recess where he gets to see his friends Brooks, Cal, and Jackson:) He also likes when they sing, the computer room, and art class.

Tee Ball

Jett had a great 2014 tee ball season! It was his second year, and he really did well. Daddy helped Coach David this year. Jett is a power hitter! He got to be the last number this year, 14, so he had a grand slam every game:)

What a Busy Summer!

We had the busiest summer! We started off with a trip to Orlando with Daddy for his meetings. We had a blast at the pool while Daddy worked. On our way back, we stopped in Orange Beach for some beach/family time. The boys loved the beach this year! I went back to coaching swim team during the week, and we missed Daddy while he was away on some work trips. We took an afternoon to visit Legoland in Grapevine. The boys had a blast! The boys officially learned to swim 4th of July weekend at G and Opa's house. All they want to do is swim! We go to the rec center pool quite often, and the children's museum too. We are loving all the new improvements at the children's museum! We ended July with a trip to Branson with Pop and Polly and Uncle Adam and Aunt Caitlin. The boys really enjoyed racing go carts and swimming. We finished our trips with a trip to Tennessee the first part of August. We had such a great time! We always love our time there and really enjoyed seeing Grandmother and Grandaddy, Uncle Mark and Aunt Shon, Madison, Mawmaw and Pawpaw, Aunt Cindy and Uncle Sneaky, Claire and Avery.  Aunt Winnie and Uncle Robot came to see us too!  The boys keep asking when we go back:) We have really enjoyed our summer!

Jett has grown up so much! He finished Pre-K with Mrs. Oats and Mrs. Momo. He is so excited to be going to Kindergarten. I know he will love Ms. Baxter this year!  Jett still loves to learn new things. We've been learning states & capitals this summer through art. In addition to our nightly Bible story, Jett has really enjoyed our Bible art & songs. He loves to read and can read some things on his own and recognizes more words than I realized. This summer he was ready to swim on his own. I knew it from the beginning. He first swam in Orlando the first part of June in the kiddie pool. It was a great way for him to face his fears. He was still pretty nervous when we would swim in deeper water. He finally decided he could do it when visiting G and Opa's house. He is a natural swimmer with great body position. He now can swim nearly 25 yds taking breaths! I am so proud of him! Getting him out of the pool is usually my hardest task!  He loves to play golf with his Daddy. It's the only sport he plays without complaining about the heat or how tired he is. He truly loves it! Jett has enjoyed this fun filled summer, and we are all excited to see where this school year takes us!
