We took our first trip to Tennessee, since having Jett, at the end of March. Jett got to meet his great grandparents, his great aunts and uncles, and his cousins for the first time. It was all a little overwhelming at first, but Jett eventually got used to everyone loving on him! Aunt Winnie made a special trip to Clifton just to see Jett. Great aunt Cindy helped "little Mommy" Addison hold Jett, and Brianna got to hold him while he was sleeping. Avery waited patiently for all of the girls to get done holding Jett, so he could have his turn. Claire got a hand in Avery's picture. Avery is glad to have another boy in the family. We also saw cousins William and Madison, but I completely forgot to take pictures when we were at Grandmother's house! We'll have to get more pictures next time.
It was a quick trip, but a good one. We'll definitely fly next time. The drive from Lake Charles, LA to Clifton, TN is definitely too long with a brand new baby, even when you do it in two days! Hopefully, our Tennessee crew will come visit us this summer. We are definitely looking forward to visiting with everybody again!

5 Generations
We are so blessed to have such a young family! I am so grateful to have 5 generations in my family. The first picture is of Grandaddy, Mama Holt, Jett, Me, and Opa (my Dad). And, the second picture is of Opa, Me, Jett, Grandmother, and Mamaw. I am so glad that Jett got to meet his two great-great grandmothers! They both thought he looked just like his Daddy.

Mornings with Jett
These are just some of my favorite pictures. Jett is the happiest in the mornings just after he wakes up. Sometimes I get lucky and catch a laugh. I try and take at least one picture everyday, but it's getting harder since Jett's so wiggly these days. Lately, Jett's been talking about everything!!! He coos and gurgles all the time. He loves to play in the floor, and he loves Lamby (a gift from Aunt Winnie)! He hates tummy time. He actually fell asleep after whining a bit during this tummy time picture. I don't know if he'll ever roll over!
Jett's newest trick is something I call "moon-scootin'." His legs are so strong that when he lays on his back he can almost shoot himself off his changing table with one push. He definitley keeps us on our toes! Ryan and I think he's pretty amazing, but I think that's normal for most parents.
Jett also has a special game that he only plays with his Daddy. They play peek-a-boo. He loves peeking out from behind a blanket. When they play, Jett laughs and laughs. We'll do just about anything just to get him to laugh. It's the best!!!

We had Jett's newborn pictures done when he was 4 weeks old. They were a little late, but very good. We had them taken in Clear Lake when Jett and I visited G, Opa, and Uncle Indy. It's always good to have a few extra hands, especially for pictures. This one was a favorite of most everyone. Thank goodness for Opa! It was his quick thinking that got Jett to quit crying. Jett loves his Mylicon drops!
