I have lots of pictures from the last month! We had Halloween, the last of our soccer games, lots of schoolwork, Reading & Writing Night, Thanksgiving, and Jett got to go with Ace to story time at the library on his off week:)

Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

Jett's class went to the pumpkin patch this year. I met them there. We had a really great time! I really enjoyed watching Jett interact with his school friends:) They did a hay jump, a hayride, the swings, fed and petted animals, ran through the maze, and had lunch. I was super surprised that Jett touched the piglet! Jett finished out the day at school with recess and fun Friday centers. We watched Jett run the football players through the tunnel at the football game that night. He was super excited about it and did a great job!

Waiting for his turn to jump.

He was so careful:) I was happy he didn't face plant like some of the others!

So Busy!

So sorry for taking so long to post! We have been so busy! The last two weeks have been filled with school, soccer practice, a soccer game, many TAMUC Lion sporting events, homework, tons of artwork, and painting pumpkins. Jett is doing great in school! He got his first report card with all 100s:) He is really starting to enjoy doing his sight words. He has learned that they make it so much easier to read his little books. He is reading really well! He has a lot of friends too! I got to go to Movies With Mom in his classroom during "m" week. It was really fun to sit with him at his table, enjoy a short movie, and watch him interact. I also enjoyed the super cute popcorn and water provided!  Jett really looks forward to Fridays. When his class works hard during the week, they get "Fun Friday." Jett says that the centers are really fun with Legos and drawing on the Ipads!  Jett is loving soccer too! Daddy really likes that Jett always pays attention at practice. Jett did great at his first game too! He has really embraced playing defense and stopped a few goals. He cried when our game last week got rained out:( We are really looking forward to Saturday's game.

Both boys are pretty excited to show off their pumpkin ideas this year!  More to come...

Jett: Our Big Boy

Jett amazes me more and more every day. He is just too big! He is loving morning assembly. Yesterday he was showing some school spirit singing the "Mighty Mighty Tigers" song. He said that they also sing the "Purple Mountains" song:) Jett was so surprised when his Daddy and I started singing America the Beautiful. As I was reviewing the bulletin for his class, Jett asked me what it said. I read the things they were going to work on this week. He stopped me after I said nouns. He then explained what a noun was. I love that he is so proud! We got Jett's first progress report Friday. He got 100's in everything! I'm still shocked that kindergarten gets grades, but I knew we had a smart cookie:) Jett got a Tiger Paw again yesterday. As far as I can tell, these awards are given for being a good listener. This is his second time in less than a month. He really likes getting a prize from the Principal's office. We are so proud of our big boy!

Pop and Polly came to visit last weekend for Daddy's birthday. The boys really enjoyed their time with them and are always sad when they leave. The boys and I did cupcakes and gifts with Daddy on Monday. They were so proud of the card they made! We had our second soccer practice last night. It still looks pretty rough, but I think Jett was a little more aggressive last night and whined a little less:) The boys love that Daddy is their coach!

Progress report. Sorry for the bad pic.

Such a good sentence!

Loving Kindergarten!

Jett is really enjoying kindergarten! He is loving all the new songs! I've heard songs about rhyming, days of the week, and community helpers. He has learned some sight words and is reading short sentences. He does some amazing coloring! He also likes math and the books they've been reading. I will say that Jett has not slept in his room since they read There's An Alligator Under My Bed. It's a good thing that Ace has an extra bed in his room:)

After the first week of school, we had a little break for Labor Day. The boys and I went to Houston to see G and Opa...getting to swim was just a bonus:) We had a great time! The boys swam every day, and we experienced Jumping World for the first time. I had some tired boys after that hour! We have been to our first Lions football game complete with bounce houses, parachuters, and fireworks. We have now been to 2 Lion soccer games. Jett loved playing with Sophie! Last Friday was grandparents day. Jett wanted all of his grandparents and great grandparents to enjoy his artwork! Maybe one day we can get plan ahead and have a grandparent come to school lunch on that day:)
